Coast to coast

We set of in a couple of hours to do our first coast to coast.http://connect.garmin.com/course/8356035
We are doing it over the weekend, staying in a couple of pubs on the way. Have never been further north than Manchester so this is all new territory for me. there are four of us going so should be fun, weather is looking OK. Is there anything we should look out for. Any tips would be good. we get the train up to Morecambe from euston London arriving about 10 pm then a 4 mile ride to the Pub b&b. planning on 80 miles Saturday then finish it of Sunday, then train back to London. we will be traveling light ie rucksacks.

Was a great ride. Weather was good. The hills were hard.them northern people are great. So friendly and helpful. I will be doing this again.

Well done. I did Whitehaven to Tynemouth with my brother in October and thought we were cycling to the space station. Go up a long way those hills don't they?

The route we took is below on Strava. Really enjoyed the ride, The 2 pubs we stayed in were excelent. A good time was had by all.

That brings back some very happy memories of the C2C I did as the route was very similar, except we finished in Robin Hood's Bay.
