Well, write it down boy ......
For those local Scots. There are a lot of forestry roads between say, Inveraray and the south side of Loch Awe. The Google car has gone through them. Is it OK to use forestry roads like a normal road (albeit bumpier)?

You can generally use forestry roads on foot or bike, but you can't drive them. Just don't get in the way of plant machinery.

Bear in mind also that the "google car" is now often not a car. I think people have carried the cameras on backpacks? But it's still a strong sign that the surface is better than the tracks they HAVEN'T gone down!
