I've got a Raleigh cycle computer and I recently found out (through my own ignorance) that you can set the wheel size. I've got 26x1.75s on, does anybody know what code I need to put in so it reads the speed/distance correctly?
its the circumference in millimeters of the wheel.
mark the tyre on the tread with chalk mark a chalk line on the floor line the 2 marks up , push the bike one whole wheel revolution mark the floor where the chalk line touches it. measure the distance . thats the 4 digit number you need.
2154 rings a bell for that size of tyre- will check my tesco cheapo puter instructions later .
Ah, didn't realise that. Cheers very much - I actually have some chalk lying around so I'll have a go at it. At the moment it's got 2055 in so it's not too far off.
