It depends.
At home, espresso made in a LaPavonni lever espresso machine from the fresh roast beans bought online and ground as needed.
At home, wife making it and serving it to me in bed before she goes out to work (Heh!), Bialetti mokka pot.
At work a insulated mug/cafeteria thing as it's convenient. Whatever coffee is laying about chucked in. The coffee here is Brazil ain't that good.
One of the other lads has a minipresso which seems a decent bit of kit.

I only drink it, but Mr SL loves making his own coffee (typical American I think!) and has this set up...separate milk frother and coffee bean grinder.
He grinds the beans as needed and if you ask me, it's better than Costa etc!

I voted for cafetiere only because I got fed up of cleaning the espresso machine. Buying beans and grinding them fresh does make a difference too. However, this being a cycling forum, the answer is whatever the designated cafe stop on the ride does.

Filter and espresso being very different beasts, I'd vote cafetière.

I have a de Longhi espresso machine which is very good.

And coffee imported from South America

I prefer filter coffee and have a filter coffee machine with a timed function. Fresh pot of coffee every morning. The stovetop I have is for camping.

I have a stove top, a Nespresso 'cause i was promised George Clooney came with it and a cafetiere.

Considering i only have 1-2 cups a day because i favour Indian teas that's not bad.

The coffee i drink tends to be Lavazza red and i would be interested to taste that after being aeropressed.

We've just got a new bean to cup machine, after the last one died of exhaustion. Ours is a Miele as well...
I fear it's death. It's the only thing in the house covered by an extra warranty. I think the grinder is over half way through its life now. It's tone changed a wee while ago and became slightly more nasaly.

Does it really make a difference to grind the beans? I drink a lot of coffee, favour Lavazza red, and have never bothered with the whole grindy thing. Am I missing something?
