-6 in NE Fife full winter rig, the knees and quads never really got warmed even with winter weight bib longs on.

Trek man (nutter: shorts and t shirt all year round type) described it as 'a bit bracing' NO sh1t Sherlock

I was the same, got into work to find the office was just as cold as outside :cold:

Just wondering when the snow is going to hit :hyper:

Anybody recommend some decent cheap-ish gloves cause my hands were like ice after 5 mins

I set out this morning and foolishly chose not to put my beanie and over shoes on (weather girl said it would be sunny!). My head and ears were painfully cold as I got up to 30 odd mph on the hills. By the time I got to work my toes were numb and really hurt as the warm water from the shower hit them!!

Now I'm all showered and sorted but my work shoes dont fit...they are really tight where my feet have actually swollen up.

As an interesting point, my ride warms up hugely as the sun rises (another reason I chose not to layer up today) but as I rode past the serpentine in Hyde park...it was like a chiller. The path drops to a low point and the mist from the water settles in the dip. I could literally feel it drop by a few degrees.

brrrr

-5 this morning first time my hands felt it. The roads weren't to bad. We are very lucky here we've had no rain. If it had the roads would be very dangerous!

Don't know the temp, but it's bloody cold.
Usual work clothes with softshell jacket, warm enough. Gloves painfully inadequate, was hoping to last out the winter with my old pair, may need to revise that thought! :cold:

The only cyclist I pasted had no gloves on!
