Cold or what?

Was lovely and clear when I left at 6 this morning. But ye g*ds was it cold. My fingers and and toes were agony after my commute. Passing a horse in a field which had frozen to death overnight probably didn't help.

I'm off home in about 90 minutes... it's really nice out, but still a bit chilly.

THE SUN IS COMING!

Bloody bitter up the allotment at 8am. I was wearing a thermal vest, wool jumper, heavy windproof fleece, hat, and jeans and boots, and was digging, and was STILL cold. Only did an hour before heading home for breakfast and a cuddle. That was nice!

It was ice cold last night, I met up with a friend for a spot of dinner, and on the way there it was fine. After leaving the restaurant, I realised I had not prepared for such a turn of events, needless to say I was unwilling to stop peddling until I reached home - at least I had my gloves with me.

I think from now on I will stuff a scarf into my saddle bag.

One week from my holidays and I will be cycling in tempratures of 90+ degrees farenheit.

Thank god...I just about avoided a chest infection this winter.(again)

Crikey yes! -3.7 this morning, -1.8 when I got back. I spent all day outside too. I'm glad I had plenty of warm kit with me, and I was still extremely happy to spend my lunch hour in the tennis club cafe.

I spent six hours out on my bike in North and East Yorkshire. Clear blue sky, sun was warm but it was telling that frost was present throughout the day under hedgerows shaded from the sun.

My Canterbury base layer earned its keep today.

Yes, I came across a few frozen puddles on my way round East Yorkshire today but I was fine whilst I was moving. It's been a gorgeous day. It's only now I'm home though that I realise my bum feels like a block of ice:ohmy:. And I was wearing thermals.;)

Was nicely chilly 20 or so foot up this morning resealing my second flat rood of the weekend, long rubber gloves so my hands were cold trying to paint cold bitumen ;)

This afternoon looked nice so went for a spin and the blooming fairy found me ,managed to get home pumping tyre up 2 times in maybe 5 miles, cutting short my planned ride as had thought "nah its only a quick jaunt i do not need to carry all the stuff i normally carry "

On a plus i got to test my airzound at a guy peeping at me as i was indicating right to get into the turn right lane of a roundabout , think he got a bit of a shock

ffs it was freezing today. Wednesday night was bad cycling 14 miles home into a freezing northerly gale. I had eveything on about 5 layers plus my wind/water proof jacket, 2 neck fleeces, thick fleece gloves, thinsulate hat and helmet - I was still fecking frozen. So didn't club ride it today as they were riding a nutty 100 miles!!! In this weather ;). Did 30 miles instead, 15 of those loaded up with shopping. By 'eck is was still cold even with the nice shunsine and clear blue skies. It looks like the high pressure currently over the UK is going to remain until the end of this coming week guaranteeing a few more frosty nights to come .

I had all the best intention of a 25mile run this morning (difficult on an island 8 x 5) however went out first thing and decided maybe a 10 mile. Then my knees said please don't go out today ! So stayed in and saved my knees for the commute tomorrow.

Was out cycling between 3.30 and 7.00 this afternoon, bright sunshine here in Oxforshire, blue skies, but very cold, even when pedalling furiously, once the sun went down the temp dropped further, was glad to be heading back into the relkative warmth of the town.
Anyhow, beautiful visuals this afternoon and a good ride with 4 pals. Worth the cold.

I usually leave for work around 6am. Today I started at 5am so left at 4am and it felt colder. I didn't know the tempetature until I got into work The Security Guard said "man aint you cold its minus 5!"

The only part of me that was cold was my face and ears. He kindly pointed out the snot that pretruding from nostrils. I couldnt feel it.

Doing the same again tomorrow so think I'll wear a scarf around my face :girl:

I regret not covering my ears for this mornings ride.

If I could wiggle them it might have helped but they weren't half stinging.
