Cold Weather Puncture Probs

I can’t wait until the day I notice the difference with a heavier tyre…it’s the spare one round my midrift that causes more issues!

Mine too but gotta blame something other than myself in the 2010s.

I do feel a lot more confident cycling with the Marathons, some weeks it could be 2 or 3 flats and me been lazy just bought new tubes and thats £18, nearly the amount for a bus pass.

Yeh....the rear tyre deflated all the way and so its a double puncture. ......

I don't get your reasoning: why does deflating all the way indicate a double puncture? One is enough!

PK........i suggested in my opening post that i'd lost a load of tyre pressure for some reason at the start of the ride, then because of this got a puncture in the front and a soft rear. After 24h the rear tyre also deflated indicating that what had actually happened was that Id just got two punctures.

If you get extreme temperature changes you can get up to a 5 psi change, but this requires the temperature to be -20 and stay there for a while. If you are running a mtb at 40 psi, most people wont notice a drop to 35 psi.
