No not the temperature, a really unpleasant head cold.

I have not had a cold or had any kind of illness for around 18 months but for the last couple of days I have had a really nasty cold, struggling to breathe etc etc. Question is, do I sit out today or go for a ride and see what I can do and if I do will it help to clear the cold or make it worse ?.

REST!

Basic rule (with a bunch of exceptions) is to keep going if it's above the throat, and rest if below. So, it's ok to exercise with headcolds & blocked noses but anything on the chest, give it a rest.

^^^ If you do out, the chilly air will make your nose run like a tap, so have plenty of tissues handy (and stay away from uninfected people ;) )

Cheers guys

Did a quick 5 mile ride, the fresh air was a welcome break from the dry central heating air but didnt feel great so cut it short.
