Leave an anonymous sticky note on her bike.

Along with a copy of the Highway Code and the suggestion that she reads it. If she can read...

Actually, semi-seriously. If she can't work out a set of lights, she may be one of those people who thinks it's ok to ride on the pavement and that red lights really don't apply to cyclists. Some education required....

guys I know this is the internet and we all live in little cupboards without girls, but the amount of letching for a thread about lights is truly amazing

It is absolutely essential that your line manager conducts a risk assessment before approaching the lady. Helpful advice is often misconstrued and could lead to a charge of sexual harrassment.

( Tell her her lights are wonky)

You are indeed her Sir Galahad. Be gallant toward your fellow female colleague. Would your conscience be clear if she were involved in a collision caused by her error and you had not intervened to correct it?

Bicycle shoes generally have reflective panels on them, though.

Does this counteract the legal issues?

Nope, if your pedals don't have reflectors they're illegal! I think you actually even need four - two forward facing two rear facing, but I would have to double check that.

However, if you ask if I have any, my honest answer is no (I have SPD Shimano Ultegra) and I ride and park the bike every day in my police station. No ones ever commented - in fact, when I've tested it, no one even knows!

Are the lights an irrelevance anyway if she doesn't need to be seen, can she be heard with a decent pair of hooters?

This surprised me a bit. Which posts do you feel are amazingly lecherous?

Oops

Back on-topic(ish) I saw someone yesterday with no lights on their bike but a red light that appeared to be coming from their scarf, shining around their neck and their face. Which struck me as somewhat odd.
