It will be my first sportive and almost one year exactly from my first bike purchase and getting in to cycling. I hope those dales are kind to me (I doubt it).

@PaddyMcc - it's a good event and one I'd recommend. Hope it goes well. Just remember they feed you during (soup / cakes / etc.) and at the end (hot meal).

Well I did it. It was well hard, possibly the hardest day on a bike since I started cycling almost a year ago. Well organised though and obviously a popular choice for Northern folk. Scotch pie and beans at the end was mega.
