i`ve got a 2010 airlite 100, blue and yellow. This week i got some Shimano 105/5500 bits. As fitted some of them today, brake calipers and rear mech, my wife came out and said "trust you to buy colour coded stuff" i never even noticed but the 105 logo is yellow and blue........

now all i need is a 105 Bottom bracket and i`m away............

Looking in the window of a bike shop in Canterbury last weekend, they had a bright red bike in the back of the shop (I think it was a Spesh but not 100% certain) and the spokes and wheel rims, and more or less everything else, was either painted red or anodised matching red to the frame. It certainly looked spectacular, if a bit unusual.....

There's nothing wrong with colour-matching! When I replaced the knackered suspension forks on my MTB with rigid carbon-fibre ones and I changed the brakes to mechanical discs, I naturally had to match the brake cable housings against the logo on the forks:

The BB is worn out, so I'm going to replace it with an external one ... and so the cranks will need changing to something that matches the forks and cable housings, obviously!
