Coloured Chainring Bolts/Stem Bolts etc

Does anyone know where to get them in green? I want to bling up my bike a little, just for the fun of it, but don't want to pay the earth for 'em. If that's the case, I'll just leave 'em be.

Good point, fossy. Shame really, as I don't want to go down the Spokey Dokey route

Guess I'll stick with black and silver, then.

Most definitely not I just wanted to change the standard silver bolts on my stem face plate, chainring, maybe bottle cage bolts etc. Looks like I'll just leave 'em be. Cheers, matey!

Try Aerozine on eBay..... keep 'em tightened, and be prepared to check and change when necessary....

Dunno about faceplate bolts, but you can get stems with bling faceplates from Superstar components.... 45 quid mind you....

Nothing wrong with aluminium chain ring bolts. There is no shear load on them anyway.

ebay, but the quality can be hit and miss. I bought some red annodised chain ring bolts they were a little shorter than the sram ones I took off, but tightened up fine. Went out for a 25 mile blast when I got back two of the five bolts were nowhere to be seen.

It's not shear load I'd be worrying about - it's not having them tight enough is my worry. I'll stick with steel.

I've read that green is a difficult colour to get consistent results when anodising. Apparently that is one of the reasons Hope Tech don't sell green anodised parts to the public. Only sponsored and factory riders get green bits at Hope.

As for tightening them, get the ones that have hex key slots both sides. The slotted style are crap for keeping tight.

Measure the ones you've got. Only need to remove one.
