Do you, or would you buy coloured tyres to match your (road or fixie) bike?

What are peoples views on coloured tyres, do you pay a premium for a dash of colour?
Is it a waste of money?
Do they make bikes look better?

The key is make the choice if you need new tyres...... If you don't need new tyres then they are waste of money.....but if you do, then it is your preference and they normally aren't any dearer than the equivalent black ones ............... I am currently trying to decide whether to buy some blue ones and have the bars re-taped the same colour on my black and white Defy 2 (currently running white trimmed tyres).....................

Usually go with black tyres, or mostly black tyres. I have used Michelin pro3 in red before, and some continental gp4000 tyres in Conti yellow... (don't mention the Giro D'Italia pink Vittoria rubinos :stop:)

Tyres should be black, coloured ones may look OK when new but they tend to discolour and look manky pretty quickly. Black stays black and cleans up well.

Same goes for bar tape and saddles, keep it black and you'll go faster as well ;)
Where did you hear that? We all know the red bar tape is faster.
