I always had a soft spot for Columbo. I rather liked the fact that it wasn't a Whodunnit, it was a HowdoIcatchthemout!
There was one episode that was a real stinker, in which I think they improvised the plot and the dialogue as they went along. I can't remember which one it was.

Legend of an Actor. Loved Columbo dearly, the thrill of the chase rather than the mystery is what it was always about. I loved the fact it was different.
