Shhhh!
Don't tell everyone, they'll all be coming up here!
What's the surface of the struggle like now, I went down it a few months ago after they had spread that horrible gravel surface dressing on it and it was lethal, I think I preferred the enormous pot holes!
For a Lakeland road The Struggle is not too bad at moment - although haven't cycled down it for ages - compared to bits of Wrynose & Hardknott it's like a silky smooth carpet, relatively speaking of course!
Ive done the Coniston part. Excellent fun. If you want a challenge, I also recommend trying to cycle up the very, very steep road that leads to the highest 'car park' (it's really a gate and some gravelly waste ground!). It's the steepest hill I've ever found - the wife had trouble walking up it!
They do in the Lakes too. Similar ascents to get over passes, but the Lake District is so much smaller they have to do it in a much shorter distance, so steeper gradients!
