I also drive one of those four ringed vehicles you mention and would like to think that I too am a considerate driver and give my fellow cyclists plenty of room and courtesy.
I am sure you are.

The idea that folks in big nice cars are arrogant toss pots is i think very dodgy. As in life with people/characters i often find that it is folks in smaller stuff who can be just as bad if not worse. Particularly if it's got an extra 100cc or a stripe on it. Cramped people cramped cars can be very aggressive if given a whiff of power.

I quite often have folks in white vans hold back for me in london to let me make a right turn.

And i quite often have cyclists try to come up my inside.

Every time i pedal home i have to hold the crown of the road on a slight bend on a road with heavy trucks to make a right turn up the hill to my place. Folks driving all sorts of stuff very often hold back or flash their lights to let me cross.

Be nice to folks, thank them, give them a tbumbs up or handpalm if they are nice to you on the road.

Love the post, I think it's meant to be tongue in cheek! I hope. It's very easy to get into stereotyping, in fact I'd recently come to the OPs conclusion, having had a number of Audi related encounters, the trouble is, the more you try to stereotype, the more you find its inconclusive. I still go with the idea that most people are 'normal', and, there are a very small number of arses in all transport categories :-)
