fairynuff (starts writing "I will pay attention in Class" one hundred times).

Unrelated note: for those of us who spent too much time in the early 80's messing about with home computers you might be interested in Micromen this Thursday BBC4 9pm (http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2009/oct/03/clive-sinclair-micro-men-alexander-armstrong). My avatar would be jumping up and down in excitement - if I knew how to get avatars to jump up and down.

Oh yes!
I'll be watching that. And the Electric Dreams programme where they go back to the 80s. The trailer had one of the kids looking very sceptically at Manic Miner. If she says harsh words about one of the greatest computer games ever created I shall have to track her down and slap her with a pair of Matthew Smith's old socks.

Heh, you may jump up or down, so long as you do it diagonally.

Have already set it to record.

Watched the first Electric Dreams last week: the 70s. They gave the kids Choppers, and had that bizarre "tennis" (style) game you plugged into your TV. Brought back some memories ..

Apparently that particular bird has form. He was hand-reared as a chick and is so imprinted with humans that he'll try mate with them instead of other kakapos.

I had to go and check Wikipedia, Armstrong talks about Sir Clive in the past tense so much I thought he was dead. He's not. I think.
