Roll up, roll up....eyes down and pin your ears back.
Plan: A 2-wheeled invasion of The Netherlands to sample the food, bikes, cycle paths and beer. Meet up in Kingston-Upon-Hull then ride to the Europoort ferry. After an overnight crossing we will roll off the ferry into cycling Nirvana. After that and till we get back on the homeward-bound ferry I am open to suggestions from interested parties - we could visit Gouda/Amsterdam, Den Haag...I quite fancy the De Molen Brewery to do a bit of retail therapy http://www.brouwerijdemolen.nl/
A Thursday evening crossing and Monday back should give us 3 whole days riding to experience how it should be done here. You will take ferries that are cycle/pedestrian only, ride cycle only routes, get into and out of cities along clearly signed /segregated paths.

Also, as the Netherlands are quite pro-bike, if needed we can hop on/off trains to increase mileage should we need to get somewhere quicker.

I am thinking of going June/July time, so the offer is there if anyone wants to join me. Thinking aloud, people from the SE could get the Harwich ferry into the Hook of Holland and meet up with the Europoort crew in Maasluis.
