The OP asked a serious question however which will help him hopefully get a new job as his currently might be under threat..
So there's really no need to take the pi$$ is there ;)
To be fair I'm not taking the piss out of him (more the ridiculous state of modern "business"); but apologies to @kingrollo if it came across that way ;)

Thinking out loud....

If OP is suitable for the new job he would know what the term means, wouldn't he?

Asking on a cycle forum for an explanation of technical terms in the communication industry could be said to demonstrate that OP doesn't have the necessary skills for the new job.

I may be wrong. I distinctly remember being wrong once before.

My other thought was that if he's not conversant with such terminology, perhaps it's an environment he wouldn't wish to work in anyway.

Years ago I went for two interviews; one at a prestigious household name, the other not. The first messed me about something chronic, the 2nd were great. After chasing the first I took that one based on their perceived image; and surprise surprise my experience of the company during my employment exactly mirrored the dire experience of the application process

Here you go @DaveReading :

noun
  1. special words or expressions used by a profession or group that are difficult for others to understand.

OK, my fault for not quoting the lady in full.

She says "a jargon is a word or expression used by professionals", and then goes on to talk about "10 jargons" when she really means "10 examples of jargon".

You can't put the indefinite article in front of an uncountable noun (which is the sense in which she means to use the word here).

As somebody who sells channels within the communications industry it all depends on context. They could mean as others have said social media although I doubt it. They probably mean the channels/trunks/ports between the customer & the product, but it depends if it is origination or termination.

Or I'm doing research to increase my chances.

So it is a Communication as in mumbo jumbo speak which means your channels will be the different areas of work, newspapers will be one channel, social media another, people within a sector that you are targeting,
