Commute bike?

Hi
Cycle Solutions now open again at my place of work.
I'm looking for a fast, light commute bike to work (which was taking me 15-20mins on
a 17yr old mountain bike before it finally gave up lol).
I've been looking at Giant Rapid 1 and Giant Defy 1.
I want a bike that'll give me the same buzz I used to have 25 years ago on a Raleigh racing bike with Reynolds frame !
Thinking Giant 1 would be better build than 2,3 or 4 ?
Any advice please?

So why not get a 531 Raleigh and rebuild it, lots do.
EDIT or there's a 531 BSA in classified 23in frame and stored indoors for years.

Thanks but I really don't have either the time to rebuild.
I was kinda hoping that I could get something 'better' if that's possible. I do know the 'rebuilds' of the Reynolds frame bikes are very popular....and also cheaper.

It certainly is, but not cycle solutions .... nice bike though. Love the colours!
