I would like to video my commute to work, what equip do you recommend. I do not use a helmet...how do i attach the camera and to what? the handlebars?

I'm using the ATC 5K and it has a simple enough mount, something like a front light mount for the bars. The ATC range are cheap and cheerful robust (waterproof) wireleass but built like bricks and not good at filming in the dark if you spend more money you get camera that fill this gap. Still cheap and just on the market, I like the look of this cam, the AT1.

Cheapest way to do it is to get a 20 quid camera (say a tecnika) and cellotape it in place. Or make a caddy (plastic bag, tape some vecro straps on, just experiment) to hang in place.

Save you needing to buy a special camera just for one or two commutes

Runner, I wrote an article recently for the CTC magazine, where I discuss the use of helmet cameras, what is available etc. I could send you a pdf of it if you were interested. If you are PM me your e-mail address and I can send it to you.

Staple it to your head with a staple gun.

And if you ever post a video of me, overtaking you, eating a sandwich and chatting on my mobile, going through a red-light without wearing a helmet.....I'll 'ave yaaaaaaaa:evil:

Well the cops won't do anything about that.

Runner – haven’t read magnatoms article – but I’m sure its comprehensive. One thing I would add about the ATC range which HLaB didn’t mention is that the sound quality is pants, so if you want to record the audio you might want to look elsewhere. But they certainly are robust and value for money.
PS – you can edit your post and remove your e-mail, or you’ll probably get an amount of spam that would leave Monty Python in the shade…

Yip, I think pants is a fair assessment :becool:
