All,
I have decided upon my next bike being a jack of all trades.

Something that is great to ride for winter nike/commute, relaxed seating position, can have child seat on the back, can go on-road/off-road (gravel path/bridleway).

Most importantly can take mudguards and possibly a rack.

I would also love it to be a nice ride and failry light.

Budget is £1600 (c.), and would like it to have carbon forks and good compoenents (disk brakes, 105 or higher groupset).

Do any CX bikes fit this mold (with a relaxed geometry)?

Thanks

There must be loads of CX bikes out there that fit your requirements. You could also consider a tourer I would have thought.
You could also have a look at this: http://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/bikes/adventure/multi-sport/croix-de-fer

vickster

Squire
Genesis Croix de fer but no carbon fork.

Whyte Saxon cross ticks all the boxes, fairly unusual sight on the roads to boot (and a British company)

Not necessary but could upgrade the groupset if required
