They are pretty good as they keep the rain of your thighs where your legs get the wettest , even in torrential down pours i use the official "rainlegs " version and with mudgaurds and overshoes my legs are pretty dry and you dont boil in the bag .

Bought a set last time and haven't used them yet. They just seemed a bit of a faff. If it's light rain I don't bother with anything over the lycra, and if it's absolutely bucketing down I use my Altura overtrousers. I guess they may be useful over regular clothes.
