Typical Brommie Rider:

Cycling home last night, just past Millennium Point, and fellow cyclist pops out from this site, and proceeds to pedal off down the road, whilst sipping tea from a pottery mug, whilst steering and braking with his other hand!

After telling him off (where was my tea?) and pointing out that Contador doesn't ride the TdF stages whilst drinking any hot beverage, I left him behind with a cheery greeting.

Apparently does 3 mugs to the mile.

What do you do on your commute that is out of the ordinary?

I don't do anything out of the ordinary, but tea / coffee in flask sounds like a great idea in the cold weather

I once followed a chap cycling who was enjoying a huge joint at the same time. This was in Leyton High Road, East London, in the early evening. His riding style would be best described as "relaxed". I finally overtook him when I found my riding style also becoming somewhat relaxed as I was in the wake of his smoke.

Never seen someone with a cup of tea, although that sounds rather pleasant. I do notice that many of the videos of riding in Holland have a cyclist in the back-ground with a cello strapped to their back. Either it is the same person covering a lot of miles, or there is a particularly high instance of cycling cello players in the Netherlands.

I often have coffee in an insulated water bottle and drink as I'm riding. Not sure I'd trust myself with a cup though, unless theres a decent cup holder attachment for the handlebars.... Hmmm.... Off to browse ebay!

I do see a chap twice a day riding through Daisy Nook with some bread in hand. He breaks some off and throws it to the Ducks, Geese and Swans as he goes along

+1 to singing

and as some builders pointed out, my commuting ensemble of purple peaked helmet with pink merino top, scarf, shorts, leggings and boots bears a surprisingly resemblance to one P.Pitstop...

I like riding with a cone of chips in a jersey pocket, it's just a shame I can't cover them with ketchup...
