After my ride home wearing them it is definitely good having some optically clear glasses compared the cheap glasses I used to use.
Also the transitions lenses make riding in the sunshine even more pleasureable
I bought my first ever pair of cycling glasses from Aldi last week. Still getting used to them. Whenever I wear sunglasses they seem to affect my perception a little bit. Perhaps because I've only ever worn cheap ones!

I have always worn cheap ones before, I did not realise it would make any difference, well for me anyway. Plus it means I only need one pair as the transition lenses are excellent.
I've had Oakleys with transitions prescription lenses for about 4 years now. Never go out on the bike without them. Clear enough for use in the dark and darken up nicely in bright sunshine. Great for golf too.
