Hi Twanger, I live in Gipsy Hill near the station, you?

I much prefer drops I can't abide flat bar bikes with the limited options of hand positions, I would much rather be able to get down on the drops going in to the wind and up hill. Also when up on the hoods the ride position aint bad and the visibility is good.

Cheers DJ

Well, I dunnit.

I added bar ends (specialised dirty rat bastard or some such name...I can't recall offhand. They are black and smooth and bend round a bit at the end) . They make a difference, a considerable difference when climbing and I zoomed up Farquar road in a gear some 12 " higher than my normal efforts. So they work.

I ddin't shorten the bars, and may not. I'll see how they work as it is.
