The CS7 makes me laugh, I had a go at the badboys on it tonight after training. Class. I'm moving to Purley shortly so should be fun.

Well!

Took somewhat longer than expected, but then first time I did the route and haven't ridden properly in a while. Think I'll make it regular. Also it would have been a lot quicker had I followed this route:

Rather than doing something that was something more like this:

Really don't know my way around South London! Well, I do NOW.

Not sure if I'll do this every day, just it will likely still take a good long time. Might start riding to Brixton and taking the train - although you aren't supposed to take bikes on the train before 10am, plenty people do - I guess staff turn a blind eye when you're going against the rush. Will have to check this out.
Glad to hear you survived.

but i still say that your route is minging.

Camberwell, Kennington...yurgh!

for my money I'd drop a tad west, do Hyde park out of Paddington...Lurvelly...the mall...buck house, Westminster...all fabulous especially in the good weather on a ss. then its straight as a dye along the well managed A21...fast, safe and smooth (except for a few bits under bridges and around crossroads

I used to go via hyde park every day on my old job, and it is lovely - but it is also pretty slow going and I'd like to make the commute as quick as possible!

Don't see any hills for the first 17 miles ! 17 miles from my house you'd have been in serious hill country for the last 15 miles ! PS those hills aren't in London !
I took a strange route, they are more like 12 miles away. They are in London, well greater london.

In fairness, all of those hills are in Surrey.

In fairness, this part of surrey is part of Greater London.

Takes me an hour and five/10 minutes from hammersmith/sheperds bush to bickley/chislehurst. (although Strava adds about 6-10 minutes a ride to my overall time...bless)

Oh hi yes - did it a few times and it was good - but found it was a bit too much every day, especially with having to then go across town to the gym to shower after arriving . Now riding to Victoria or Brixton and catching the train most days.

Moving up to high Barnet this week so riding to Bromley from there might be a bit of a stretch!

Shame as now the weather is getting really nice I'm keener on going the distance.

I go Victoria/Vauxhall/Stockwell/Brixton/Herne Hill/Crystal Palace/Beckenham/Bromley. Bit of a climb up Croxted Road to Crystal Palace, and then the last bit up to Bromley.

Hi I'm about to start a Monday to Friday 9 to 5 course in victoria. I live in anerly and wanted to cycle to save the ridiculous train fare,

I see you do the same commute do you think it's ok and can you give me some tips?

I used to commute Camden to dalton but that's a lot easier ! Plus it wasn't 9 t 5
