You make that look effortless!!:bravo:

In my Crystal Palace days I rarely used Anerley Hill, I was on a MTB(with slicks)and my legs would invariably turn to jelly around the slip road to the sports center.

My commute in those days meant I had Westwood Hill to climb everyday on my way home.

Anerley Hill is what got me into road bikes. Riding up on MTB slicks you could feel and hear all the energy that you were putting into just turning the rubber round.
Anerley Hill 3 (or 5 if you start at Elmers End) short sharp rises.
Westwood Hill one long constant slog.
But there are the other options:
Kirkdale.
Sydenham Hill.
Fountain Drive.
College Road.
Gypsy Hill.
Central Hill/Westow Hill.
South Norwood Hill

Aren't we lucky..

cheers benborp!

I've been trying to find videos or photos of this climb for ages. I wanted some form of visual proof to explain to my missus why I need to spend most of my Sunday afternoon deposited on the sofa after hauling myself back over Anerly Hill after a ride out to the North Downs. :bravo:

tdr1nka right though in that you make this look too easy! hats-off to you...I am lucky if i can get above 10mph on the way up...

It's not the Alpe d'Huez, that's for sure, but it's a good old work out - London's not exactly blessed with hors categorie climbs, is it?

On a serious note...christ you have some morons to deal with. It'd be no good me getting a camera...nothing ever happens (well, nothing much) to me, even in the rush hour.
