If there is even a chance of heavy showers, take a change of pants and socks to change into once you get to work. It isnt nice sitting in soggy pants and socks! Been here an hour and 20mins, and still not dried out.

Pants? Under Lycra? Or do you wear them over the top like superman...
Nope, I have pants under shorts (which are apparently waterproof, although the rain was very heavy this am so may let them off!) And then leg warmer stocking things from Aldi under all that.

Spare pair of socks & pants in my desk drawer for just such an occasion. I put the wet ones into our air-conditioned IT room and they dry out nicely over the course of the day. Just hope the IT manager does not pass by otherwise he might get the wrong idea !

I get to work, get my work clothes out of my locker, go to the changing rooms, strip off the wet cycling gear, have a lovely hot shower and get changed into my nice clean & dry socks/pants/shirt & trousers!

Dang - I pedal all the way to the leisure centre / gym / pool, strip off the wet cycling gear, have a lovely hot shower... then put the damp wet kit back on to cycle the final mile to work [where I have all the clean dry work clothes]. Smacks of missing the point a bit!!

Spare cycle clothes + socks in my locker at work , i carry pants in a water proof bag along with any clothing i need for the day , Luckily i have the sort of job where looking like your about to meet the queen is not important as the smell and dust from a car factories weld shop is not the place for a suit:rolleyes:

You need a full change of clothes. Cycling shorts then baggies if that's what you want. Undercrackers are a no no ! Extra socks and undercrackers won't weigh much or take up much space, unless you are rather large

I've got a complete change of clothes left at work. Plus an entire set of cycling gear.

The day-to-day clothes change always goes in a carrier bag - if I get wet, they don't!
