Luckily have showers at work, nevertheless always bring in pants n socks, old t shirts also, currently drying my sodden trainers & cycling pants on my IT equipment in office!

Keep some old newspapers at your desk, crumple up sheets of it and stuff down your trainers in the morning. With a bit of luck they'll pull most of the moisture out by the time you go home. A good reason to grab a copy of the Metro on a rainy day if you're a train commuter...

Better still, keep your shoes dry. Last summer during a wet spell, I saw a bloke wearing a Lidl carrier bag over each shoe. To prevent water ingress from above, he had gaffer-taped the tops to his bare (and hairy) shins. Very Desperate Dan, and quite impressive.

For commuting in cold rainy weather, I use skiing gloves. You get them for almost nothing in Decathlon at this time of year (my current pair cost less than €10), you can just chuck them in the washer, and they're warmer and more waterproof than any cycling gloves I've ever had.

I use skiing gloves too. They tend to have good grip as they're designed for holding onto ski poles. . . mine also have a "nose wipe" rubber strip on one hand which comes in handy... The Mrs wont go near them now though! xx(

Actually, to keep ones socks & feet dry you actually put small poly bags over your feet/sock then into trainer that would be a viable workaround. It would at least keep your feet warm n dry for return then stuff trainers with dry newspapers as mentioned earlier, guys think we have a result!
