This morning a "rider" for some reason decided to shout f***ing a***hole at me as he passed, I always thought a more appropriate salutation is "good morning" or "morning".
Ironic when only one if us was treating the narrow shared use path, with limited view ahead, as a race track:tongue:.

Stay :becool:. Karma is a wonderful thing to believe in. Last year similar abuse was shouted at me by a passing pair of hooligan roadies dressed like Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee. I believe it was because they had to move slightly to their right in order to pass me (slowed them down a bit I guess). I took a deep breath and gave the same pair a great big and very sincere smile when I passed them about a mile on tending to a puncture by the side of the road

My reply to his f***ing a***hole was "morning".

Reminds me of the 'dream' bike Rob Penn had made up for him in that TV show (that I watched again the other day, because I was really bored). Great bike - travelled around the world sourcing all maner of nice components, then had it painted a gross orange and blue colourscheme... there's no accounting for some people's taste eyesight.

The orange and blue maybe bad colour coordination or it could be the colours of the Swindon road club.
I did think about joining in the past but I could never wear their orange and blue jersey:tongue:

See, I think that blue and orange go together rather well. I have always thought myself in a minority on that. Minority of one in fact. But now it turns out the Swindon RC are with me. Ha hah!

As to the incident - a Tourette's sufferer perhaps?

I wonder what his perception of the encounter was? Of course, knowing BRSU, my sympathies and loyalties are unlikely to reside with the swearer. It can be very interesting how different perceptions can arise, not that I'm excusing his behaviour in any way.

The only things I can think of are,
he does not like camera wearers, unlikely,
as he came up from a subway my light would have been pointing straight at him,
he is miserable to everyone^_^ .

I pulled up to a cyclist this morning at a set of lights. I said good morning and didn't get a reply. I'd got fecked off at cyclists ignoring me, so I repeated the good morning rather loudly. He looked around, rather sheepish (or scared?) and said morning and that he'd said it originally.

I suspect it was because you dared to be on the road and not on the path. You naughty boy.

How charming.

I nearly had a head on collision on a bend of a cycle path this morning. Luckily we both stopped in time and both had a laugh about it. I didn't even mention the fact he had no lights so I didn't have much chance of seeing him until it was nearly too late. Went off with a 'have a nice day'.

Vile colour co-ord btw. xx(
