It was 29.5 C most of the afternoon.... in our office*. Fitzrovia, London. One of those old townhouses. We're right at the top.

* We have a weather station indoors. Mostly for the amusement of seeing what temp it is when you can see your breath at your desk in the winter.

One time I was in Melbourne in June (ie winter) and I checked the local and London forecast. For both it was "18C. Some showers". Everyone in Melbourne was complaining how cold it was. I was enjoying it as a typical London summer day.

2 mile queue to get onto the coast road this morning... unless you use the cycle track, which kept flowing except for where it crosses the carriageway if incompetent queuing motorists block the junction when they get a red light.

When I came out of work tonight, 2 things; firstly tried to sit on the leather seats, almost scolding myself! Eventually managed to stand and press the clutch at the same time to start the car and let it cool down a bit. Secondly the temperature guage was showing as 43c!! I know that is inaccurate and it dropped to a consistent 34c once moving, but still never seen a temp in the 40's showing on it before :heat:

Have only once ever experienced a proper temp of 43c, in Crete. Remember that @Rickshaw Phil! Came very close in France once, on the day we broke the record temp in the UK as well, where in a car without air con, it was cooler in the car with the windows shut than open!
