take his picture - e-mail it to all your mates and it'll be all round the world in a couple of days....

Or say to him Ok I buy you some new trainers. When are you free to go to the shops? Arrange time and offer him a lift except drive to the cop shop instead if he tries to escape squeeze his arm .

I don't understand this at all. You caught someone trying to break into your shed, and they got covered in food-dyed water from an old fire extinguisher? And now you are getting verbals from them wanting reimbursement for the trainers?

Answer. Go to the police, tell them EVERYTHING, if you know the suspect name them, and be brave and stand up to them. Make a complaint and tell the prat you'll see him in court.

Having been to the policethey are unable to do antyhing with regards to the origional offence, attempted break in, due to the length of time.
Not able to get close enough to deliver a swift kick to his rear end, or anywhere else for that matter. He doesn't let me get close enough to do so.

Not put out by what he's saying. I just wish he'd report me for doing it. That way the police could then do something about him. Advised that he has to make any such complaint voluntaraly.

if he's not gonna get close enough then hows he going to collect the money?

he's a coward who knows he nearly got caught and wants to get back at you and this is the only way of doing so.

crossbow?

If he makes any threats towards you or your property then you can report him for threatening behaviour. Even better if the threat he makes sounds life threatening as they are obliged to follow that up.

...throw some money at his feet, when he bends down to pick it up, follow through with the fire extinguisher - the casing - not the spray. When he gets up, accuse him of bleeding on your lawn. Hit him again. Remove his trainers and fill with rapid set cement. Hold one in each hand and when he gets to his feet again, clump them around both his ears.Chuck the trainers aside, call the cops and say you are being harassed.

Or, give Noodley a call, then give the phone to this man, whoever he is, and let Noodley tell him to **** off.
Or get someone on here, who can write alot of not very nice abuse, to talk to them/email him.

Im afraid if someone after trying to break into my property was trying to threaten me for money, I would do the only thing they understand, wait for him in a known place he goes and attack him with all the frenzy of someone in fear of their families safety. And dont stop until he is screaming for mercy, then carry on anyway, or he just isnt moving. I garantee he wont bother you again. If your unsure as to his ability, then use something like a baseball bat, but you must be possitive in its use and give him a real swing to the face to stop him in one, then you can make sure he remembers by doing other things to get the message across. These type are vermin and use terror tactics thinking they are untouchable, but they are not if you feel angry enough.
Oh you can then tell him to **** off.

Sorry, but I just can't understand your approach given you are the wronged party not him. Are you just going to lie down and take this behaviour from this person? You've now been to the police so you can't really persuade him yourself to leave you alone or does he not know you've since been back to the police? You can either go the lawful way or your own way. It seems you have chosen to seek help from the police but are not prepared to even use the law to your advantage.

What you need to do is make a complaint of harassment against this individual under s4A of the Public Order Act 1986 - causing intentional harassment, alarm or distress to you or your family; or the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 s1-3A for which there is civil remedy of damages (if he has any assets, unlikely as he is a scrote) or an injuction to stop him from harassing you. But hopefully the police action will result in him staying away from you, your family and your property. They should arrest him and serve him with a harassment warning meaning that if he continues to harass or commit other criminal acts against you, your family or property then he will be arrested and charged with the full offence(s) which can carry a custodial sentence and fine. He might also be charged with more serious offences should he escalate matters. You must though make a complaint against him as this will not stop. You will also need evidence - witnesses, diary or best CCTV with sound. Do not keep being a victim you have to stand up to scum like this otherwise they walk all over you and make life miserable. It will escalate so to avoid this you have to hit him hard either with the law or by other means of persuasion.

You will of course need to make a statement in which case you can include details of the previous attempted burglary. It is your statement so you can say what ever you want. In the statement you should also give details of how this individual's conduct toward you has and is affecting your life. Don't let the police fob you off which they will try to do to avoid doing any work.

Good luck.

that's a very ggod point. However frustrated we are by police inaction, they often know a good deal more than they let on...

That's the relevant point.

Sort it out yourself whatever you do, you'll just get old and an ulcer trying to get the Dibble to do anything.

But be prepared to have his company for a looooooong time. The police are normally as useful as an anchor on a bicycle in those situations.

Not if you tell them you thought you saw him carrying a gun ;)
