Hello everyone.
My names Garry and i hail from a little village called Howwood just outside Glasgow in scotland. Both myself and my partner Pamela have got bikes on the Cyclesheme through our NHS trust that we both work for. Totally new to cycling apart form the usual stuff you do when your younger and didnt drive.
We both got Hybrid bikes from Craig MacMartin's store in Glasgow (very helpful family run LBS), as we have some cracking cycle paths and plenty of great roads to cycle on. Both bikes are Claud Butler. i went for the Urban 300 and Pam got the Explorer 200. Both seem like pretty decent bikes for beginners. and should do us proud.
I'm hoping to get my fitness up, loose a bit of weight and then next year once i got some confidence, get a Road bike and maybe one day take on my 40mile round trip to work.
This seems like a very friendly site and been enjoying reading the many threads.
i'l get some picd of the bikes up when we get them hopefully tomorrow.
Cheers
Gaz
