Don't talk to me about different keyboards! Some bright spark at work decided that when they were ordering Macbooks for all the staff to use at work, they would order them with English Keyboards. All well and done, but I work for a German company and there are three more letters in the German alphabet, which obviously aren't on our keyboards. It's possibly through a magic combination of keypresses that I can never remember to get them, but what a pain.

Oh and on my personal PC, which does have a German Keyboard, Alt Gr is incredibly useful. However switching between the two keyboards is a right pain with some letters in different places.

I ended up using the US international one because it's the standard QWERTY but French, Spanish and German accents are easy to access. It's pretty logical.
` + a (top left)= à
' + c = ç
`+ e, or i or u = è,ì,ù
' + e = é
^ + i = î
" (upper case apostrophe)+ a or e or u,AEO + ä,ë,öÄËÖ
~ (upper case ` top left) + n = ñ and so on
@ goes walkabout. It's upper case 2.
£ disappears though.

None of which will help you if you're using a German layout of course.

Alt Gr + 5 (using the US international keyboard) gives me European money! €€€€€€€ Very handy when you're on a flight to Europe.

Or on the standard UK keyboard it's Alt Gr + 4. I mostly use the international one because all the accents I need are to hand.
I never knew that, cheers €€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€

It's sort of on what used to be called the clipboard. Paste it into a program like paint or paint.net.
I generally use it for user sheets , paste straight into word or for helpdesk queries , past straight into an email.
Pick a "busy" looking screen alt print screen, past into paint , save , then set as screensave , then when you fall asleep at your desk, it looks like you are working,.
Also, if you set up a shortcut its a one button save when reading forums and the boss comes into view
