Condiment of the Gods

I went into Lakeland in Chichester on the weekend and discovered bottles of this:

I bought one out of curiosity; this evening I had it all over sausages with chick pea salad ... it is properly gorgeous! It's a bit like worcestershire sauce, but not nearly so acidic, much more smooth and subtle.

Note to self - next time I'm in Chichester, buy several bottles! I've not seen it anywhere else.

They're all up North, though, aye up! There's nowhere else in the civilised South that sells them other than Lakeland. I suppose it doesn't go so well with tea and crumpets, what what, Jeeves, tally ho! (that's how we talk down South).

No disrepsect intended towards the venerable peoples of Sheffield, but Henderson's Relish is just weak Worcester Sauce.

Good that it is veggie-friendly unlike WC with it's anchovies, but please Mr Henderson, strengthen the stuff up a bit will you!
