Can I confess my sins?
While laying on the sofa under my duvet, feeling sorry for myself on Sunday afternoon, (I had been out clubbing to gone 6am at former SE1), some new cyclists were practicing on their new road bikes around our square, new kit and I guess using cleats for the first time. I lost count how many times one of the guys fell over trying to get his foot out. I know it's bad and I should not have found it amusing, as I fell over 2-3 times when I first used them. But it did lift my spirits up. I'm also glad they had the piece of mind to practice off a main road at the weekend, and not for their first commute. If I wasn't feeling so rough and it was sub zero, I would have gone out and helped with some advice etc. It's good to see their enthusiasm as I've not been on my bike since October, brrrrrrrrrr. Am I forgiven?
ps anyone feel like donating some money to Macmillan? I've set up a "just giving" page for my Etape Caledonia 2011.
