I was on the turbo the other night in front of the tv, and I had the volume quite high still couldn't hear the whispering and the shooty/blowy up bits were far too loud so only got the gist of the storyline.
It's a regular tv, has anyone got any recommendations for wireless headphones and an adapter to connect it to the tv?

I don't do it often so don't want to spend loads and they don't have to be top quality.

I got some Philips bluetooth ones that I connect up to the TV, been good so far.

Have the same problem with the difference in sound, much more even through the headphones.

I haven't done this for a while (circa 10 years), but bought it for ageing father and father-in-law (both ex-military from the time they didn't look after hearing, so both deaf) and if your TV doesn't have bluetooth - which they didn't when I was looking - then you need a transmitter that plugs into headphone socket and matching battery powered headphones.

This sort of thing.

We basically popped into hifi store, and picked something of the shelf. I'd do the same with amazon now.

Edit: if your TV does BT, then you should be able to connect any a2dp bluetooth headphones/earpiece to it.

I had infra red, worked fine. First set of bluetooth, with a cheap plug in bluetooth adapter, was laggy as heck. Current bt adapter/phones much better.
More up to date than mine.

Just to be aware, infra red is light, so only works if your headset is in direct line of sight to the transmitter. Bluetooth (and other) works with your back turned - and depending on your house - in another room or even in the garden.
