Anyone done this?
Is it just a case of connecting 2 extra satellite cables to the skydish and running them to the 2nd skybox/tv?
Is there anything else I need to be aware of before attempting this?
Thanks

That's pretty much it. If the second box isn't Sky+ then you only need 1 cable.

If your LNB (the bit on that arm sicking out of of the dish) has more than one connection for a cable, then you should connect to that. If it's not a dual/quad/octal output LNB then you'll need a new LNB.

Just remember to turn the power off (unplug) to all connected satellite boxes before you go up the ladder to install new cables.

The later LNB's came with 4 connections. 2 cables run to one box for SKY HD. I have a 2nd cable running to a 2nd box. (Single cable)

Not quite that but I have run a third cable off the LNB straight into my TV for freesat.

Is your TV freesat compatible, then?

I've looked at this (as I have a satellite fitted to the house for the main Sky box, and a bedroom TV currently receiving no television) and the freeview compatible TV doesn't seem to have the correct connection for the line straight off the satellite.

Guessing I'll have to get a Freesat box.

Thanks for all your help.
The big question now is if the slanted tiled roof will take my weight? i.e. I can't lean a ladder up against the wall to get to the dish!
