Justice has been spent, it seems. What chance does the fraudster have of repaying the money? The worst aspect is that she won his trust and possibly even made him feel good, before he was cruelly let down.

I suspect that tenner is a token amount as a placeholder so that a future order may be made if she accumulates any assets.

Wretched woman, I would shoot her.

However, that would prevent the Proceeds of Crime Act order ever being enforced.

Chances are it never will be, but if she ever gets any money, that can be confiscated.

The CPS has a unit dedicated to chasing criminals who had no means to pay at the time but later somehow acquired the means via an inheritance, getting a job, or some other stroke of financial fortune.

That's most unlikely to happen, and even if it did, the authorities would have to find out about it.

Cleaning the toilets with her toothbrush for all I care, just as long as its unpleasant. Then nuke her.

Your idea is excellent, but with a teensy problem. She's proven that she's not trust worthy around the vulnerable, so putting her in a care home is simply setting her up to create another victim somewhere. That'd be like giving Raoul Moat probation in a gun and steroid factory.

She's not going ti be working unsupervised, is she?

Most of the people that were in such positions of trust or responsibility that I've successfully put behind bars over the years, were supervised. That's 'supervised', as opposed to 'physically shadowed and scrutinised 24/7'. By the very nature of this type of crime, the offenders are very good at manipulating such opportunities.

That she should work off her debt I do not dispute one iota, it's the idea of doing so in a kindred situation or environment that I regard as inadvisable.
