Been riding to work for a couple of weeks now and always had to get off and walk up a hill on route. But this morning I got all the way to the top. Thought my little lungs were going to burst but it felt great. Just a small thing I know but I did it. Just goes to show us old uns still got life in us lol

Great stuff! There'll be no holding you back now. ^_^

My goal when I started was to climb the 5 rise locks at Bingley. The first time, walking half, I nearly threw up, a few weeks later I rode to the top, mostly standing. Now I go up sitting down and it's not steep enough or long enough.

That's great. :bravo:A beautiful sense of achievement when you manage something like that, isn't there.

Brilliant!!
I remember the first time I made it up a very steep off-road hill.....my husband used to be up it and waiting at the top while I pushed my MTB up the last half.
After a while I could make it to the top actually cycling, although I never did beat him up it!

Great sense of achievement, even though I thought my lungs would burst!

Puzzle game procrastinator!
Well done - now look for a tougher one to conquer!

I had a surprise when I came to cycle up a hill that I had struggled with, aged 12. It took me several attempts to conquer it then on my 5 speed racing bike. 40 Years later, I came to tackle it again and found that I could sprint up it in the 39/15 gear of my singlespeed bike!
