I know West Peckham but not Stans Lane.

Am passing through your neck of the woods on Sunday..watch out for a man in black on a Ti whizzing through
I will be at a sportive in the New Forest on Sunday with @London Female and @Saluki but Stans Lane is on the right as you go up Forge Lane.
Enjoy the lanes it's lovely round there.

Aha Forge Lane...
Yup, most of my cycling is in that neck of the woods.
Will be heading to Ashford via West Malling, Pilgrims Way.
I've just gone through the opposite of that in the peak district!
The Peak District - say no more!

My monster childhood climb (Barkers Butts Lane in Coventry) only ascended 15 m in 460 m, so an average gradient of 3.3% with a maximum of 5-6%!

Great routes, managed to get just south of Tenterden the other week. Bit miffed I didn't quite make Rye but it won't be long.

Did that the other week as I have a friend who lives in Seddlescombe so cycle to his from Orpington.
Fairly rolling route....

You should try join us on the Ride for Food to Rye in Dec. (in Informal Rides section).

I think you may be too fast for me, not quite at your speeds yet, maybe next year though. The route to Rye through Goudhurst, Cranbrook and Benenden is lovely

Congratulations.

My nemesis was the Ryals climb in Northumberland. I used to have to get off and push every time, which would ruin a ride for me. I can do it now. The best thing for me is when you go from worrying whether you'll get up the climb without stopping, to worrying about beating your PB.

This. best feeling ever is realising that you are wondering "was that trip up the hill quicker than the last one" rather than "OMG am I going to die or get to the top?"

I went that way on Sunday... PB up them, acc to Strava, and it was the first time going up when I've NOT needed my lowest gear to get up (the second one).
