It is "fate"

We have two very good friends, who were "childhood sweethearts", but as life went on had different paths

Both got married, and had kids, then divorced and met at a single parents group, took up where they left off and now have two wonderful girls as well

Seriously this is now a recurring theme. once only found it TV land. I think it is wonderful.

I remember the first time I took my future wife home to meet my mother

We had chosen "neutral territory" and gone to Woburn Wildlife Park

There was a "difficult moment" when we left my mother and girlfriend together - my mother turned round and said "You aren't at all like the tarts he normally goes out with"

Thanks, Mum

PS I am still not sure that was a mark of approval or not, especialy as we are still married 40 years after that comment
