Hi all

Following some in-depth research, I am almost decided on buying one of these camera.

If anyone on here has one, I wonder if you could help with a couple of queries?

1. Is there anyway of charging the camera whilst riding? I don't anticipate wanting to film for longer than the battery would allow, but wondered if there is an option for that?

2. What is the sound quality like? Can you make out a conversation?

Thanks

How about one of these portable USB chargers?!

You need to use a Contour specific USB cable to record and charge at the same time, for whatever reason they decided to be awkward.

This is such a minefield!

I'd finally made my mind up, but this throws a spanner in the works. I'm doing a ride from London to Paris, so charging or replacing the battery would have been a good option to have.

Back to square one?!

To run it off an external battery is straight forward, I bought the Contour car charging adaptor, luckily I had a 12v 9800mAh li-ion battery, so a bit of cutting of wires and crimping I ended up with a battery that will power the Contour 9 times longer, I did try it for six hours with no problems, apart from memory card changes.

Hi all

I have gone ahead and bought one; charged it last Thursday but didn't get a chance to use it over the weekend... went to use it this morning and the battery was flat.

Any ideas on what I might have done wrong?

The symbol on top definitely turned green after a few hours of charging!

Thanks - I think I have found the problem; I hadn't locked the back part. Worked fine on the commute home!
