Hi I am looking to convert my Viking road racing bike to have Hybrid style wheels on for more bumpy riding... i currently have 700 x 25c gatorskin continental tyres on but feel it would suit my ride style more with hybrid tyres on...

What is the max tyre clearance on your brakes? Generally these entry level road bikes have quite restrictive clearance. possibly up to 28mm, if you are very lucky, with mudguard clearance.
