Anyone know if there's an easy way to convert the old-style 5-arm Carbon Record cranks to 1x? In order to reduce the Q-factor I can't just stick washers under the chainring as it will foul the frame (I'm putting it on a Brompton, so clearances when the rear frame folds forward are pretty critical) .... I've done it previously (with Centaur and Chorus Carbon compacts by making my own screws, but that's a huge faff and I haven't any of the hex bar stock I used left anymore).... Back in the good old days you used to be able to use Pista chainring screws to go 1x on Campy cranks but the Carbons (certainly the Carbon Compacts) have funny screws, and the hidden bolt is an extra problem..
