Its driving me mad, its yet again in the bike shop, its had new bearings, it lasts for a couple of hundred miles and starts creaking again. I am picking it up again this afternoon, if it goes again which I am sure it will what do I need to convert my bike so it can take a different sort of BB. I have seen some insert sleeves, is this what i need, if so anybody done this operation was it successful? will I also need a new crankset , mine is a FSA Gossamer.
What is the best most reliable (quiet) bottom bracket to go for, I can do a lot of things on a bike but I confess Imam a bit lost with BBs.
Not really too fussed about the expense, got to be cheaper than a new bike which is my next option, even then I would have to sort this one if I were to keep it or sell it on.
