After a recommendation for a passive cool box. We are a family of four and we only ever go camping for long weekends. Somewhere I read that 35litres would be minimum size we need. Brands like Colman and igloo have been looked at. Looking to secure a good performer that is not eyewateringly expensive for what is basically an insulated plastic box. Thanks.

I have an Igloo Marine, but it is only 25L solid build you can sit on it.

We've got one of these

'Only' 32 litres but did us for basics over a 3-day weekend at the British GP a few years ago.
Like the one above, you can also use it to sit on if you really wanted to.

Buy extra 'cool-pax' the smaller ones are better, we used 8 little uns and had 4 frozen every night at the campsites then swapped them over when Maz and I used to camp together for a week or so.

Igloo with bottle of frozen water in as ice packs kept milk fresh for us for over a week, still had ice in the bottles. I was totally amazed and threw out our other boxes. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Campsite in France, more than 30 degrees. Top tip, freeze some of the milk first, but only some or you have frozen milk for the first few days.
