Cornwall to Cape Town

Hey everyone,

Thought I’d post a little tour update for my trip.

I have pretty much everything sorted now except my route through France and Spain to Algeciras or Tarifa, if anyone has any experience of touring through Spain or France then your help would be greatly appreciated.

I plan to leave in November, unfortunately finding a job to fund the trip has been tricky so I think I start work in a light bulb factory next week – great use of my degree! I think too many people are unwilling to get stuck in though and it will be character building.

I have pretty much all my equipment sorted too, if anyone wants to cast a critical eye over my kit list (on the website) that would be great!

I’d love to discuss the tour to anyone who wants to be bored so feel free to message me or ask questions.

I hope you already have, but if you haven't you MUST review some of the journals on www.crazyguyonabike.com - there are several who have done the west coast route to Cape Town

And even better, you should use CGOAB as your journal site.....

The man in my hostel has gone nuts. He is suddenly asking for double the money. I have paid the hotel, but 'not for me' he says. I legged it to an internet cafe.

He looks game for a fight and I am not happy.
