Corporate Gifts.

Amongst the usual calendars and wotnot from suppliers I had a very embarrassed rep give me a flyswatter branded with his company logo. He was so embarrassed he'd gone and bought me a bottle of wine out of his own pocket, or at least he put it on his expenses.

I like the flyswatter but was wondering what good or bad things you'd received or given away through work?

The only thing I have ever received is a CD sized calendar - stuffed full of corporate guff.
I will buy the DHL guy, long-suffering and always OK, a few bottles of Red/White/Rosé this year. Work are tighter than a duck's ar$e in a storm.

Apparently we weren't even allowed to send a card, let alone a crappy branded gift.

Our suppliers have been very generous, the front office is brimming with chocs, wine, Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort and calendars of various tastes, All to be raffled off to us next week.

In the previous company, loads of stuff used to come from suppliers, but the plant hire office used to snaffle the lot into their car boots.... eventually we managed to get folk to donate to a raffle and the proceeds went to charity.

I got a DAB radio once with a suppliers logo on it. Nice it was! as it wasn't plastered over it. Quite subtle

I just give whisky and wine to certain people. Can't go wrong with that

Used to get loads of drink at Christmas, never had to buy any for years, but those days are gone for the most part.
The worst...reps that'd give you a logo'd pen, cheap and nasty, and look at you as though they'd just given you a gold ingot

The best...£100 worth of shopping vouchers from a good supplier( we did used to spend thousands with them mind)

Slightly OT....

My sister works for a large Insurance Company. Their corporate Christmas Card this year has a picture of a snowman on.....now't great about that you say, no, but the carrot is not where his nose should be

Someone will be getting their ar$e kicked for not checking before they were printed..........

We weren't supposed to keep them. They were all pooled and raffled at Xmas with the money going to charity. Seemed a good idea to me.
